Circle 7th Race Tuesday, Sept. 15

Put a big fat red circle around the seventh race from Tuesday, September 15. The race was for 2-year-old fillies going six furlongs and it was loaded with potential ability. I suspect we will see many winners come out of this race.

Potosina, a Kentucky-bred trained by Mark Shuman, is a half sister to a pair of Group I winners in Chile. The daughter of Cactus Ridge posted a 5 ¾-length and returned a whopping $78.80.

Blasted, a Kentucky-bred trained by H. Graham Motion, made an impressive three wide late move and her jockey lost his whip before finishing second.

Miss Mockingbird, a Kentucky-bred trained by H. Graham Motion, finished third. Her dam, Superduper Miss was a multiple stake winner including a trio of Delaware Park stakes – Endine and Sweet & Sassy in 2000 and the Light Hearted in 2001.

Unplaced horses included Big Time Bling trained by J. Larry Jones, Emmz trained by Todd Pletcher, Chipanaputt a full sister to Rockport Harbor trained by Michael Matz, Hathor’s Legacy trained by Ronny Werner, Amazing Anna conditioned by Steve Klesaris and Posse R N trained by Ronny Werner.
