Edgewater tops Brandywine Stakes
Lazy Lane Farms’ Edgewater tops a field of seven entered in the mile and a sixteenth $125,000 Brandywine Stakes at Delaware Park this Saturday. The Brandywine Stakes is for 3-year-olds and upward.

In his only other outing at Delaware Park this year, he posted a length score in a mile and a sixteenth allowance on June 21. Robert and Mary Ellen Bourque and Stuart and Shari Goldstein’s Alma d’ Oro is the second choice. In his most recent, the Kentucky-bred trained by Todd Pletcher posted a 1 ¼-length triumph in the mile and a sixteenth $50,000 Grover Delp Memorial at Delaware Park on October 6. Previously, the 4-year-old son Medaglia d’ Oro ran second beaten a neck against Edgewater in the Governors Day Stakes at Delaware Park. He has a career record of four wins, two seconds and three thirds from 14 starts with earnings of $155,038.
