Fancy Runner scores in DTHA Governors Stakes
Ben Mondello and Adam Russo’s Fancy Runner notched an easy score in the DTHA Governors Stakes at Delaware Park today.
With Jeremy Rose aboard, the 6-year-old son of Robyn Dancer won by 2 1/4-lengths and returned $3.80 as the favorite in the field of seven. The Florida-bred trained by Scott Lake cover the mile and one sixteenth in 1:50.78. He raised his career record to 11 wins from 45 starts with earnings of $355,480.
Rhythmn Master, with Gerald Almodovar, finished second and it was another 5 1/4-lengths further back to Jane’s Kid, with A.R. Napravnik, in third.
