Ben Mondello’s and Adam Russo's Fancy Runner tops the $75,000 Delaware Thoroughbred Horseman Association (DTHA) Governors Stakes at Delaware Park this Saturday. The mile and one eighth test for 3-year-olds and upward, restricted to horses which have started at least one previous race at Delaware Park in 2009, has attracted a field of eight.

In his most recent outing, Fancy Runner ran second, beaten by a neck in the mile- and one-eighth $150,000 Claiming Crown Jewel Stakes at Canterbury Park on July 25. Previously, the 6-year-old son of Robyn Dancer ran third in a mile- and one-sixteenth allowance at Delaware Park on July 5. The Florida-bred trained by Scott Lake sports a career record of 10 wins, 8 seconds and 8 thirds from 44 starts, with earnings of $310,480.
