Nathan’s H Q wins New Castle

Thomas Carey’s Nathan’s H Q won the Delaware Bred or Certified $75,000 New Castle Stakes at Delaware Park today. With Clyde Martin, Jr., aboard, the 3-year-old sonr of Yonaguska won by 2-lengths and returned $5.60 as the favorite in the field of nine.

Rock Solid Arch, with Jeremy Rose, finished second a half length in front of Cayman Condo, with Rosemary Homeister, Jr.., in third. The final time for the six furlongs was 1:10.53 over a fast main track.

Previously, Nathan’s H Q finished unplaced in a six furlong allowance at Delaware Park on September 11. The Kentucky-bred conditioned by Clyde Martin, Jr. raised his career record to three wins from six starts with earnings of $124,800.
