Sir Whimsey scores R.R.M. Carpenter Jr. Memorial victory
Turtle Bird Stable’s Sir Whimsey notched a victory in the $100,000 R.R.M. Carpenter Jr. Memorial at Delaware Park today.
With Alan Garcia aboard, the 6-year-old son of Jump Start posted a 2-length victory and returned $5.40 as the second choice in the field of five. Edgewater, with A.R. Napravnik, finished second a half length in front of Alma d’Oro, with John Velazquez, in third.
