Table Talking takes Small Wonder

Skeedattle Associates Table Talking notched a victory in the Delaware Bred or Certified $75,000 Small Wonder Stakes at Delaware Park today. With Oliver Castillo aboard, the 2-year-old daughter of Orientate won by a head and returned $6.40 as the second choice in the field of eight.

Funky Munky Mama, with Fernando Jara, finished second 4 ¼-lengths in front of Players Court, with Joseph Rocco Jr., in third. Over the Moon, the 9-to-5 favorite with A.R. Napravnik, finished fourth nearly 6 ½-lengths behind the winner. The final time for the five and a half furlongs was 1:05.09 over a fast main track.

Previously, Table Talking finished unplaced in the Grade III Miss Grillo Stakes at Belmont on October 3. The Kentucky-bred conditioned by Robin Graham raised her career mark to three wins from seven starts with earnings of $123,315. Her Delaware Park record is three wins and two seconds from six starts. The only time she finished out-of-the-money in Stanton was in her career debut on June 28.
