Cash is King’s Poseidon’s Warrior, a 7-length winner recently of the NATC Futurity, will meet Z W P Stable and Gary Capuano’s Steady Warrior, a 7 ¼-length winner recently of Maryland Million Nursery, in the $75,000 First State Dash which is restricted to Delaware Bred or Certified 2-year-olds.

Poseidon’s Warrior sports a career record of two wins from three starts with earnings of $126,150. In his last outing, the son of Speightstown won the six furlong $167,000 NATC Futurity at Monmouth Park on September 26. Previously, the Maryland-bred conditioned by Robert Reid finished fifth in a six furlong allowance at Delaware Park on August 26. On August 2, he broke his maiden by posting a 1 ½-length score going four and a half furlongs at Philadelphia Park.

Steady Warrior is unbeaten in two career outings. In his most recent outing, the son of Cherokee’s Boy won the six furlong $100,000 Maryland Million Nursery at Laurel Park on October 2. Previously, the Maryland-bred conditioned by Gary Capuano broke his maiden at Delaware Park by a length going six furlongs on September 11.
