A milestone worth mentioning!
Ask any horse racing expert about the importance of following a trainer who is in form and you will be told that it is one of the most important statistics to take into consideration when evaluating a horse race.
With that in mind, a special mention must be made of that veteran trainer Gary Capuano, who passed the notable milestone of 1000 victories when Miss Speaker won at Delaware Park betting on Wednesday, 18th September.
For those of you who are not aware, Gary is perhaps best remembered for that ever so unlucky runner up in the 1987 Kentucky Derby when his horse, Captain Bodgit was beaten by the shortest of distances.
Even though the 1000 victories is most definitely something to shout home about, Gary still trails his older brother Dale, who has notched up over 3000 winners. There is little doubt though that Dale should not ease off in his quest for victories or the very talented Gary Capuano will soon be catching up with him.
From sports betting to poker, Delaware Park Betting features endless casino, poker, horse racing and sports gambling options.
He was definitely looking forward to Wednesday’s racing at Delaware Park as he had been on the 999 winner mark since August 23rd and his heart must have been beating even faster when his horse in the first race, Petie’s Boy, finished an unlucky runner up. That race meant that Gary had sent out 5 horses that had run second since that 999 in August and he must have been wondering what else he had to do to get that elusive winner.
He needn’t have worried though; Miss Speaker never looked in doubt for the second race with apprentice jockey, Trevor McCarthy giving a self-assured for someone who is only at the beginning of their career.
Gary will be the first to admit that Delaware Park is one of his favorite tracks so it was fitting that he was able to celebrate this fantastic achievement there. The crowd was also appreciative that they were there to experience the celebrations and it would be a foolish bettor who didn’t investigate Gary’s runners over the days and weeks ahead because he is most definitely a trainer who is in form.
Why following a certain trainer would be especially advised over the days and weeks ahead..
