Sweep up the profits!
There has been a lot of interest about the blackjack sweepering system that we spoke about a couple of weeks ago, in particular, is there a limit to how large the stakes are that should be used for this system.
If you missed the blog post, the sweepering system is simply where you double your stakes when you have had two winning hands in a row. Winning runs often occur in any blackjack game and this system really does take advantage with the bank increasing at an astonishing rate.
The reason for the bank increasing is because the stakes are doubled but the great thing is that you are only gambling with money that you have already won. Back to the original question though, how many times the stake should be doubled really depends on a couple of things.
Firstly, the limits on the blackjack table that you are playing on and secondly, the size of the stake that you are happy with. The table limits are an obvious one, always make sure that you are aware of the table limits before you sit down and start to play.
Delaware Poker at the Delaware Park poker room in Wilmington, Delaware, offers a poker players a 25-table poker room, 20-table dedicated tournament room and tons of promotions, including freeroll poker tournaments, bonnus sweepstakes table games, bad beat jackpots and much more.
When it comes down to the size of stakes that you are comfortable with though that is an entirely different matter! It is all very well saying that you are only using money that you have already won but if you lose, depending on what you are comfortable with, it still hurts.
As an example, let’s say that you are using a stake of $20 and you have won 8 hands in a row. If you are using the sweepering system, the stake on your next hand will be $320. Now if you are comfortable with using stakes of that size, no problem, but if you are the type of person who would be absolutely devastated by losing that amount, adjust your stakes accordingly.
If the maximum amount that you would feel comfortable with is $20, stick to that. There are no hard and fast rules, it is entirely up to you but when you are used to this system and see what a positive effect it can have on your betting bank, you might just feel more comfortable about raising your stakes a little!
Play blackjack in a way that will not only increase your profits but protect your bank during a losing run.
