Very superstitious, writing’s on the wall!
Stevie Wonder got it about right with the 1972 Motown classic, Superstition, because the writing definitely will be on the wall if you try and make your gambling decisions based on superstition.
Ask any casino manager about superstition and they will tell you numerous stories about players who have to go through all sorts of routines before they place a wager. From people playing roulette who spin around three times before they put their chips down all of the way to those who have to dress in a certain way before they enter a casino, not forgetting to wear their lucky underpants before they leave home.
To be perfectly honest, there is nothing wrong with superstition up to a certain point, after all, just take a look at some of your favourite sports stars and see what they get up to before a big game! The thing is though, when it comes to gambling with cold hard cash, there should really be more to your wagering decisions than any superstition routines that you like to go through before you place a bet.
The same thing applies to the racetrack. You would be surprised by how many people will place a bet on a horse because it sounds like the name of their pet dog, or the place where they spent their honeymoon 20 years ago. Again, if it is only a fun bet of a small size there is nothing wrong with it but if you are placing a large bet it goes without saying that there should be much more to your decision.
From sports betting to poker, Delaware Park Betting features endless casino, golf, horse racing and sports gambling options.
If you are not careful, it easy to make a habit of being superstitious and even though it sounds odd, the worst thing that you can do is win when after going through some kind of bizarre routine because it could very well mean that you will keep on doing it, to the embarrassment of your family and friends.
You don’t need superstition in order to win money at the racetrack or casino, in fact, it’s the last thing that you need!
